Ganondorf Must Go on STIRKE!!!!

The long time villian of the Legend of Zelda series must go on strike! He's be working overtime for Nintendo, and needs to take a vacation during the next game. Seriously, this guy needs a vacation. Ever since the game's first release in the 1980's Ganon/Ganondorf has been working non-stop for Nintendo. So I say he needs to take off during the next game and give another villian a chance to show his stuff in this wonderful gaming series. If he does not get his much deserved vacation of Link and Zelda. Ganondorf should go on a strike against Nintendo for unpaid overtime. Ganondorf deserves respect! He's a hard working villain who needs a break! Let Ganondorf have a vacation!

The Legend of Zelda Weapons History

Now as Legend of Zelda fans we all know how to use the weapons in the games but does everyone know the history of the weapons they continually use in the games. I am here to document the history. So, without further ado the unveiling of the Legend of Zelda Weapons History begins.

Reoccurring Weapons
  • The boomerang/ magical boomerang/the gale boomerang: This weapon can be traced back to it's first appearance in the very first Legend of Zelda game. It's other numerous appearances in all of the rest of the games in the LOZ series.
  • Bombs: This usefull item is also traces it history back to the original Legend of Zelda as well. This item is one we all love to trough around and watch explode.
Wooden sword: This weapon only makes a few notable but can be used well until you pick a metal sword later on in the game. This weapon appears in the original Legend of Zelda game, Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons, and Twilight Princess
  • The wooden shield: This defense piece of equipment also appears numerous times in the LOZ series. It's first appearance was in the original LOZ game as well, but has appeared in games such as Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons, Twilight Princess, and Ocarina of time (a.k.a the deku sheild)
  • The Bow and Arrows: This weapon is a staple of the series as well as the other weapons like bombs and the boomerang. This weapon also traces it's roots back to the very first LOZ game and has appeared in every game since.

Advice for Cosplaying as Link

Attention all Zelda loving, convention going, cosplayers! Cosplaying as any character from the Legend of Zelda series can be rough. Cosplay in general can be rough with all the pain you can go to make your outfit a success. With Link as your character base it can be even harder on you (and your wallet) than it usually can be (unless you are buying the entire outfit). First off, your amount of work can be lessened or increased depending on which Link(including tunic styles) you chose. Toon Link is comparatively easier than Twilight Princess Link. However, OoT (Ocarina of Time) Link can be even harder depending on how detailed you want to get with the outfit. I would know, because I'm working on my own OoT Link outfit from scratch, which can be very difficult.
Now, the hardest link outfit to currently do is the Twilight Princess version. With all that detailed stitching and not to mention the chain mail that he wares. TwiPi Link is the only Link that currently wares chain mail! Can you imagine making chain mail by hand!? It sounds awful, right? It can be I've known people who make chain male out of soda can tabs and it takes a long time to make. Not to mention dangerous, because you can get cut by the sharp edges of those can tabs if you aren't careful. However, do not let all the complications scare you off of making an outfit if you a beginner. Their are easy ways of doing things that will still have people admiring your outfit a the anime conventions you go to. First off, pick fabric that is cheap and easy to work with. This can be a real money saver. It can also be a lifesaver, because if your convention is in the summer and it's really hot where you are going light weight fabrics can really help wick away sweat and keep you cool. Plus if when you are sewing and you screw up these fabrics are more forgiving than the more expensive one are. For best results I suggest using cotton. It's cheap, it's easy to sew on, and it's very light weigh. Just remember it wrinkles and also to prewash it before you start sewing on it or you could have some trouble. Now, the cotton will do for making you cap and tunic on to the boots. I normally suggest buying boots from target instead of making fake boots, because they look better in my opinion. Just don't go out and buy the most expensive pair of knee high brown boots you can find. Actually take time to look in stores like Target, Walmart, or other shoe stores that are having sales on boots. You may actually find a pair of good boots that look just like Link's do and they aren't very expensive. But, it's all up to you what you are going to do for your outfit. Now, for the tricker parts the ears, hair and gloves.
What I recommend for the hair is to buy a wig unless you know how to make them yourself. Depending on which Link you are cosplaying as you will want to pick the right blonde for your outfit. OoT Link is a strawberry blonde, so go for something close to that hair color. For Toon Link go with a light blonde wig. For TwiPi Link go with kinda a dirty blonde look. Moving to the gloves/gauntlets, these can be tricky. TwiPi Link has leather brown and black fingerless gloves with an arm guard over his sword arm, but not on the shield arm. OoT Link has brown leather gloves with some weird segemented pattern of darker brown on them. What I did was knit brown gloves by hand and I'm going to spray paint brown onto some old wrist guards I have for roller blading. You may just want to buy these online, but if you want to try to make them yourself  more power to you. Remember I'm am a beginner, but I do know some things. So, happy cosplaying to you and don't give up on making that perfect outfit! :-)

Which item out of the LoZ series do you like the best?

We've all played the games, and beaten them. In each game Link has a variety of items to use during battles and in temples. But, which item is the best or most favored? You have the varied special items like the hook shot / claw shot, the fairy bow, the mega ton hammer(OoT only), the iron boots, the hover boots(OoT only), the eye of truth(OoT only), the double claw shot(TwiPi only), the mirror shield, the spinner(TwiPi only), the dominion rod(TwiPi only), the ball and chain(TwiPi), and the Boomerange (Gale or fairy doesn't matter) (if I missed any tell me). Then you got the items you can buy from any shop which include bombs, bomb-chus, potions (red, blue, and yellow), laps, lap oil, milk, soup, chu-chu jellies (which you can also find roaming around Hyrule), the Hylian shield, the deku shield (only available in OoT and Majora's Mask), the wooden shield, magic armor, and bugs, fish, fairies, blue fire(OoT only to the best of my knowledge), poes, deku nuts, and deku sticks.
Many on this list can also be found just laying around in temples and in Hyrule field. Fairies can also be found for free at fairy fountains. Then you have your speciality items only available once or in certain areas. The big Goron sword, the Zora tunic/Zora armor, the Goron tunic, water bombs (TwiPi only), and Great Fairy tears. Then there are they items you get from beating a boss most just Heart Containers. Then, there's items that are hidden for you to find like heart pieces and other types of rupees or poes. Then theirs the classics Wooden sword, regular sword, the four sword, the master sword, and now the skyward sword.
Then there are items that are game specific, some I already labled, but I'm talking about the usually title item to the game. These include the Ocarina of Time, The Minish Cap other wise known as Ezlo, The Windwaker baton, the Four Sword, The Skyward Sword, Majora's Mask, The Phantom Hourglass, The Spirit Tracks (you really only restore those in the game, but you get my point), The Oracle oF Seasons( who is techically a person, Din), and The Oracle of Ages( Nayru). That about sums up the items in these games. But, which one do you like best? Mine is actually the spinner from twilight princess. It may not be super useful but it is super fun to mess around with. I want to know what is your favorite item, and just like your favorite game I'll tally up the results and post up which one got first place. So, please, please comment!

Best Zelda Game of All Time: Which One Do You Nominate?

Among all Zelda fans one question sparks debate among all of us. Which Zelda game should be known as the greatest Legend of Zelda game of all time? My personal view on the subject is that Ocarina of Time should be the best Zelda game. After all it's so good that they made a another version of the same game for the DS 3D. Should it not be considered one of the best Zelda games that Nintendo came out with? But, what's your opinion? I'll tally up the comments and post the results as soon as I can. So, please comment!
